2006 Advanced GSAR School

Location: McGuire AFB, Ft. Dix and Wharton State Park

Upon completing this course you will have advanced proficiency in search procedures, safety, rescue techniques, land navigation, survival, SAR Team building, lost person search, sign cutting, clue awareness, site perimeter control and ELT direction finding. This is accomplished through comprehensive classroom training and practical exercises. This course is intellectually and physically challenging.

This school is physically demanding and is intended for those who are physically fit.

Prerequisites:

Hold a current and valid CAPF-101 for Ground Team Member
Be in excellent physical condition
And any of the following:
Successful graduate of NJW Basic GSAR School or NESA Basic Graduate

And:

Seniors:
Completed Level 1

Cadets:
Cadet SrA
Completed Basic Encampment

The Fee for the course is Tentitivly $180.00, we are tring to reduce the cost to the student.
The Fee includes:
Course materials
Meals
and lodging

Send a CAPF-31 (one copy), Copy of Basic GSAR Graduation, CAPF 60
and check or Money order to "NJW Civil Air Patrol" for the proper amount.
No Photo is required on the CAPF-31.

Graduation Requirements

All sessions must be completed to graduate. This course has both a written and practical examinations which must be passed to graduate.
