General Information:

When and where is the conference being held?
The New Jersey Wing Conference will be held Saturday, May 2, 2026, at New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark. Check-in
begins at 0800, and the conference program runs throughout the day with a General Assembly in the morning; sessions, workshops,
and tours in the afternoon. 1745.

Who should attend the conference?
The conference is open to Civil Air Patrol’s New Jersey Wing senior members and cadets as well as visiting CAP members. Sessions
are designed to support training, leadership development, and networking across CAP programs.

How do I register?
Members should register through the Registration Zone portal in eServices. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email
with a link to select your workshops and sessions.

Will there be cadet-specific sessions?
Yes. The conference will include sessions of interest to cadets, including leadership development, aerospace topics, and cadet program
discussions.

What is the Uniform of the Day for cadets and senior members?
Cadets and senior members should wear their Blues Class B uniforms to the conference. They should wear Blues Class A uniforms to
the banquet.

Do cadets need to attend with their squadron?
Cadets may attend with their squadron or individually.

Can guests attend the banquet?
Yes. Guests may attend if banquet tickets are purchased during registration.

Is lunch provided?
Yes, there will be a buffet lunch starting at 1145. Attendees also have the option to bring their own lunch. Cadets cannot leave NJIT to visit nearby restaurants in downtown Newark unless they accompanied by a senior member or parent.

What if I have dietary restrictions or food allergies?
If you have dietary restrictions or food allergies, please indicate them during the conference registration process in the comments field. We will do our best to accommodate reasonable dietary needs (such as vegetarian, gluten-free, or allergy-related requests) in coordination with the event caterer. If you have a severe allergy or specific concern, please contact the conference staff in advance so arrangements can be confirmed prior to the event.

Is there lodging nearby?
Yes. Several hotels are located in downtown Newark, including DoubleTree by Hilton Newark Penn Station, which is less than a mile
from the conference venue.

 

Sessions and Workshops:

How do I sign up for sessions?
After completing registration, you will receive a link allowing you to select your preferred workshops and sessions.

What if a session fills up?
Some sessions may reach capacity. Early registration is recommended to ensure you are able to attend your preferred workshops.

Will awards be presented?
Yes. The conference will include an awards ceremony recognizing outstanding cadets, senior members, and squadrons.
