COMMANDER’S SUMMARY
NJWG STRATEGIC GOALS
2021-2022
Goal #1: Manage operational risk in an effective manner to ensure life, safety, and asset maintenance. Be good stewards of the resources assigned to us to ensure optimal readiness and situational effectiveness.
Goal #2 – Increase funding for New Jersey Wing operations, activities, and squadrons.
Goal #3: Overcome the COVID-related membership decline of 13 % through an improvement in the CAP membership. Strive for uniform quality of programming and leadership at all local units, increase group supervision, guidance, and oversight, strive for continuous quality improvement, mentorship assignment, and a cadet and senior member servant-leader mindset resulting in higher member satisfaction, increased retention, and new membership. Locate pockets of underserved markets, seek to develop stronger relationships with local organizations in underserved communities.
Goal #4: Execute the three CAP missions throughout New Jersey in an effective and professional manner, becoming the resource of choice for local, State, and Federal agencies.
Goal #5: Promote and enforce a no tolerance anti-bias and discrimination policy for the NJ Wing, coordinated with the Wing Diversity Officer, Wing Inspector General and National IG. Make the New Jersey Wing a welcoming and rewarding place for volunteers from all backgrounds, races, ethnicities, genders, and experiences, including those with disabilities who may still contribute and serve.
We will be establishing task forces led by command staff and including senior members from throughout NJWG to create plans, methods, systems of accountability, and reporting to measure performance and success.
If you wish to serve in some capacity on a task force addressing the strategic goals, please contact the Wing Chief of Staff, Lt Col Anthony Farina.
Thank you for your support of the NJWG and for your volunteer service in support of CAP’s three mission areas.
