The CAP Public Affairs Office is responsible for communicating information about the Civil Air Patrol to the media, the public, and to members of the Civil Air Patrol.

The mission of the Civil Air Patrol Public Affairs (PA) program is to inform internal and external audiences of Civil Air Patrol's national importance, safeguard the image and assets of the corporation, and strengthen relations with key audiences and customers, which enable the organization to grow.

Members are encouraged to enlist in the Public Affairs Specialty Track where they can achieve three ratings: Technician, Senior, and Master. Each level includes a comprehensive curriculum of studies specific to the CAP program and builds upon the previous level. In addition to the specialty track training, PAO's are offered workshops and seminars that focus on enhancing their current knowledge and skills.

This year [2021], CAP will be celebrating its 80th Anniversary. 80 years of volunteerism and service to community and country. 80 years of supporting and creating tomorrow's leaders today. Five years ago a video was created celebrating CAP's 75th Anniversary and that honor, integrity, leadership, and volunteerism holds as true today as it did when this video was created. Please enjoy!
